The moment I find myself striving, straining, and laboring in any endeavor is the moment I realize I have bypassed the Holy Spirit and, once again, taken the reins of my life. The result is anxiety, exhaustion, and fatigue.
The recipe for living with joy and contentment in this life is knowing that you can make it through anything because of the One who makes you who you are. He’s got this, better yet, He’s got you.
This is not teeth-gritting self-confidence, this is a surrendered and restful Christ-confidence in Him alone. He is the One who comes alongside to help, counsel, comfort, advocate, intercede, and befriend. - Pastor Jimmy
