Each episode of ABC’s Wide World of Sports started with highlights and these iconic words: “Spanning the globe to bring you the constant variety of sports. The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.” We were hooked.
As someone who grew up playing most every sport over the years, there is nothing like putting a “Win” on the board in competition and experiencing the thrill of victory.
That is the spirit in which Paul describes how God gives us the victory over sin and death through His Son! In Christ, we get to experience the thrill of victory instead of the agony of defeat. - Pastor Jimmy
