So winning spiritual battles are as simple as resisting the devil and watching him flee? Well, that’s actually only half the battle.
There is a critical prerequisite to you even having the fortitude to resist the devil’s tactics; you must first submit to God, or you will not prevail.
Submit means to place oneself under, to obey, to be subject to. When you submit to God, He empowers you to stand against the Enemy.
Humbling, obeying, and subjecting yourself to God is the key to having the strength and power to actively oppose and withstand the devil. - PJ
