Before I knew Jesus as my Savior and Lord, I foolishly believed I was the vine, i.e., self-reliant and self-sufficient. It was not working for me.
It is critical that we learn how to abide (dwell, remain) in Him; a branch attached to the vine. When we abide, we bear fruit that remains.
A branch severed from the vine, will wither and die: "For apart from Me you can do nothing." Are you abiding in "the Vine"? - Pastor Jimmy
