Cataclysmic disasters impact every sector of life. Tragedy does not choose favorites, and suffering is no respecter of persons. “Where is God now?” is a question that arises out of great pain and loss.
A friend worked several full days going through debris in the wake of the Texas floods. He said that when he got there, he wondered, “Where is God now?” At the end of his first 18-hour day, he said, “God is everywhere.”
If you have asked that question in an attempt to make sense of tragedy, you are not alone. Like the psalmist David and my friend would say, “God is everywhere.” Trust that He will never leave or forsake you. - Pastor Jimmy
