James never minces words. Bold, direct, and concise. He gets right to the point. There is a reward, a “crown of life” that is promised to those who love Him and are patient when tried, tempted, and tested.
The crown of life is not a jeweled crown of a king, but a woven laurel wreath given to winners of athletic contests. It is a reward that honors the discipline, hard work, and perseverance it takes to finish a race.
Don’t settle for stumbling over the finish line. Let’s finish stronger and more vigilant than when we started. Run through the tape of your race, finish well, and give all the glory to God. - Pastor Jimmy
