The Daily Grind ☕️ - Faith Speaks
Luke has a knack for details; just read his Acts of the Apostles. In today’s passage, he refers to the disciples as apostles.
An apostle is a delegate or ambassador sent forth with orders. He clearly understood what Jesus was teaching and leading them toward.
They brought a specific request to Jesus: “Increase our faith.” Ever the teacher, Jesus answers with an “if-then” question.
He uses the image of a small mustard seed to remind them, and us, that the size is not the issue, only the presence of faith; Faith speaks.
Speak to the tree, the mountain, or to the storm. Release your faith and speak to what is before you, and watch it move. - Pastor Jimmy
