Standing Tall in Uncertain Times
Culturally speaking, if ever there was a time that could be labeled uncertain, it would be now. Wars and rumors of wars abound. It is one of the strangest election years on record. The world feels more unsafe than ever.
David faced equally disruptive times. He lived his life in hiding from a lunatic king. He did not know who was for or against him. Each day brought uncertainty and danger. It was in this place that he lifted his voice to God.
He begins by declaring who God is; his light, salvation, and defense. He concludes that he has nothing to dread or fear. Stand tall and turn today's verse into a prayer of confidence that God’s got your back. - Pastor Jimmy
