Mission Centric or Mission Lost?
Recently I have heard believers say things like, “It feels like people are turning against christians. We are under attack.” I don’t know how accurate this is, but Jesus did say we would be hated because of our relation to Him.
We should not be surprised. What we believe and who we follow is completely counter-cultural, therefore it should not come as a shock that we are vilified and disdained. If we’re not, we may have missed our mission.
Let us not be caught off guard. We have been chosen by Jesus “out of the world.” If who we are looks no different than the culture, we have ceased to be salt and light. Embrace the mission and engage with confidence. - Pastor Jimmy
