“Without warning.” Ominous words that signal something disruptive is coming.
“But Jesus was sleeping.” Discouraging words that give the impression that he doesn’t really care what we are going through.
Or... words of comfort and hope because He knows something that we have not fully embraced: It’s Gonna Be Okay. Jesus could sleep in the storm because he fully trusted the Father’s plan for his life.
Take a lesson from the Master Teacher, if his trust in God’s goodness could let him peacefully sleep through a storm, perhaps you too can rest and sleep in the storms. He’s got this, better yet, He’s got you. - Pastor Jimmy
