There are times and seasons when your past decisions, failures, traumas, disappointments, and losses resurface as if to remind you, “I’m still here. You’re still broken. You’ll never get over this.”
The Enemy of your soul, being the opportunist that he is, leverages vulnerable moments to hold you in the pain of the past. His goal is to keep you stuck in the pain, blame, and shame of what is behind you.
Then, God speaks to your soul, “Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. I’m about to do something brand-new. Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.” (MSG). Lean into truth. Receive His grace.
