Like moths to a flame, we are drawn toward the “behavior and customs of this world.” However, as a follower of Jesus, there comes a defining moment when you decide, “My allegiance is to a higher King and a greater Kingdom.”
E. Stanley Jones writes regarding our commitment to the Kingdom as opposed to allegiance to this world, “You will no longer be an echo, you will be a voice. You will no longer merely copy, you will create.”
Stop being an echo, a copy, a lemming, a puppet on a string. Turn to God, repent of following the course of this world. Allow the grace of God to transform you instead of giving in to the pull of this world to conform you. This is your defining moment. - Pastor Jimmy
