A Simple Prayer in Troubled Times
The current state of our world is weighing heavily on our hearts and minds. In my vocation, I meet people daily who are permeated with anxiety, apprehension, and fear. The violent assault upon the heart is relentless.
However, the love of God in Christ is described as “perfect” in scripture. The word, “perfect,” means complete, whole, mature. Fear cannot occupy the same space as perfect love. They are mutually exclusive.
Pray: “Father, thank you for the grace gift of 'perfect love' that drives out fear, worry, and trepidation in my heart and mind. By faith, I receive the endowment of Your perfect love. Amen.” - Pastor Jimmy
